What a great final of the major pairs on Sunday afternoon between Ben and Tony and Barney and Teddy. Ben and Tony went to early lead, and led the defending champions right up the second last end when Teddy, on shot took out two off the opponents bowls to go to the lead. The final result was 19/17 in favour of Barney and Teddy. Well done to all players for a great game.

Monday social bowls was 14 players which resulted in a fun afternoon. It was good to see the men’s club hosting these social bowls events.

Competition games for this Saturday 15th June are as follows:

• Major Singles 12pm: Roger, Tony and Ben v Teddy, Barney and Greg Wright.

Competition games for this Sunday 16th June are as follows:

• Final Minor Singles 1pm: Marc Stevens v Tot Fisher. Marker Larry Nunn.

This will be an interesting game with Marc, a newcomer to Canowindra competition bowls taking on the experience of Tot. It will be a great game, not to be missed.

Congratulations to M Lund, who won the wood raffle and Susanha who won the IGA gift voucher. The Hundred Club was drawn on Friday, and the winners were Christy Webb first, Darciie Rooke second and Jackie Dredge third. Thanks to everyone who supported the fundraiser’s it will go a long way in helping all the players in the State playoffs. Thanks also to all who help sell tickets over the past fortnight.
