The Ultra Canowindra grand opening was well supported by the local community.
Ultra Opening: Ultra Canowindra saw a huge turn out for their grand opening last Thursday. With a huge amount of giveaways, HIT FM broadcasting live, and great deals on fuel throughout the day, it was a day enjoyed by all who attended. Canowindra Butchery was on hand cooking up a storm for a hungry crowd. A message from the team at Ultra Canowindra – “Thank you, Canowindra, for making this grand opening a massive success! Your support means everything to us!”
Next Meeting: The Canowindra Progress Association meets the third week of the month and the next meeting is coming up on 17th June, at The Canowindra Services Club, commencing at 6pm. Little Fishes: Little Fishes at the Museum is back this Friday 7th June from 11am – 11.30am at the Age Of Fishes Museum.
Head along for some sciency fun! Every month the little fishes study a new topic and this month is Stem engineering with blocks. No need to book, no charge and entry to the Museum is also free.
Natural Yarn Co Australia Winter Solstice: In order to encourage yarn crafts in the local area, Natural Yarn Co (hand-dyed yarns) are hosting a mystery knit/crochet-a-long event on 22nd June at the Koorawa tha Memorial Hall. Register your interest at www.naturalyarnco.com.au/events.
Mid Lachlan Landcare: Following on from the workshops, site visits and interviews many members did with the CSIRO team late last year, they are running another workshop in Cowra on the 14th June at the Pridham Centre 9.30am – 3pm. Lunch and morning tea provided. This workshop is about looking at how our local landscapes may change in the future. It is so important to be able to have local voices input into this sort of research. We know our land scapes and can provide valuable insight for the researchers. Sunday Session at the Bowlo: The popular Sunday Sessions at the Bowlo are back, with the Guilty Dogs playing on Don’t mis the next Sunday 23rd June from 3-6pm at the Canowindra Bowling Club. The day will include raffles, roll up jackpot, a kid’s art table and food. A courtesy bus will also be available. Don’t miss this free community event.
