No Parking: People have been parking in Finns Lane of late making it very difficult for IGA to accept their orders and also getting their own truck out to make home deliveries. Please refrain from parking in the Lane itself, and stick to the designated parking areas. It is greatly appreciated!
CSIRO – Cowra Workshop: Following on from the workshops, site visits and interviews many of the Mid Lachaln Landcare members did with the CSIRO team late last year they are running another workshop in Cowra on 14th June at the Pridham Centre 9.30am – 3pm. Lunch and morning tea provided. This workshop is about looking at how our local landscapes may change in the future. It is so important to be able to have local voices input into this sort of research. We know our landscapes and can provide valuable insight for the researchers. Wrap With Love News: This month’s meeting was a very enjoyable one with the CWA supplying morning tea and a wonderful soup for lunch thanks to Tommy Jeffs. Knitters have been very busy with 15 rugs on their way to Sydney where they will be sent to countries which are struggling with war, flood, earthquakes and many other hardships as well as areas in Australia which are having a hard time. A big thanks must go to those that have donated much needed 8ply acrylic wool which goes into
the rugs. Each rug takes 28x25cm squares so if you can donate some wool, please do.
Our next meeting will be on the 27th June at Montrose House from 10am-12pm where we knit, chat and enjoy a cuppa and cake.
