Come And Try Bowls Day

29 May, 2024 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

AN OPEN INVITATION

The Canowindra Ladies Bowls Club is extending an open invitation to the entire community to come and try bowls. The open day will be held at the Canowindra Bowling Club on Tuesday 25th June at 9:30am for a 10am start. The day will begin with a delicious morning tea before the fun bowls day starts.

Jenny Middleton, Canowindra Ladies Bowls President, said: “This is an official invitation for the whole town. For anyone that would like to come and play, or just give it a try – please come along as you are most welcome.” “You don’t have to know how to play or have any prior experience, just come along. We will supply the bowls and provide morning tea and lunch free of charge.

This is a day all about friendship, fun and connecting with other people.” For those wanting to attend the open day, simply wear comfy clothing and flat shoes, such as sneakers.

Lawn bowls is a low-impact, therapeutic exercise that can improve fitness, coordination and confidence. It is a fun way to get outdoors, mix with people from all walks of life, build lasting friendships and become part of the community.
