Heather, Margaret and Nancy winners of District Triples Championship
Two games of social triples played last Tuesday 3rd of June.
Jill Messenger, Marion Wilson and Moyna Rue def. Lorne Burgess, Colleen Crump and Sandy MCDonald. Joice McNaught, Ellen Petty and Maureen Baillie def. Diane Slattery, Dianne Mooney and Sheryn O’Malveney.
The Lucky Draw was won by Moyna Rue with No 4.
The District Triples was held at Parkes Railway Diggers Bowling Club. The teams that competed were Cowra, Forbes, Canowindra and Parkes. Daph Bryant, Christine Pickard and Gwen Haydon had a bye on Monday morning, won their game in the afternoon, won Tuesday morning and lost in the afternoon. Diane Slattery, Marion Wilson and Maureen Baillie lost their game on Monday morning. Margaret Gosper, Nancy Morrow and Heather Hoad won both games on Monday and Tuesday and played the final on Wednesday morning def. Leila Burns team (Cowra) 24-14. Margaret, Nancy and Heather won 5/5 games – well done ladies.
Bobbie Turner, Jill Messenger and Moyna Rue represented our club at Molong Vice-Presidents Day held last Thursday 5th of June. Best of luck and good bowling to the teams entered in the District Fours being played in Parkes on Monday the 16th and 18th June.
