Last weekend saw the final of the Major Singles, with David Crowe surviving a good challenge from Tony Tuimauga. David held an early lead and then Tony caught up and took the lead. David had the best in the later stages, with some excellent draw bowls, coming away with the win 25/14. It was great to see so many people there to watch an excellent game.
There was also a major pairs match between Dool and Peter Vs Larry and Crock. The match early could have went either way, with both teams trying to get the upper hand. Larry and Crock got stuck on 7 for a long time enabling Dool and Peter to go on to win comfortably.
The sevens had their fourth round match against Cowra and unfortunately couldn’t handle the pace of the green. Cowra are now in an unbeaten position in the sectional play.We wish Cowra all the best in the playoffs.
