Shape Exhibition: Congratulations to past Canowindra High School student Ava McMillan who, on Monday represented Canowindra at the launch of the SHAPE Exhibition in Sydney. Ava was among a select few 2023 HSC students to be recognised for their major projects’ creativity, design and construction skills during a special awards ceremony.

NAPLAN Testing Concludes For 2024: It’s a wrap for NAPLAN 2024. A record 4.48 million online tests were successfully completed by more than 1.2 million students in 9,411 campuses and schools across Australia. This is the second year NAPLAN has taken place in March and the third year of full online testing. Schools will receive their full results, including writing, from June 2024, after which parents and carers receive their child’s Individual Student Report at the start of Term 3. Just as leaving your doors unlocked poses a risk, neglecting to install and maintain smoke alarms in your home can jeopardise the safety of yourself and your loved ones. With more Australians dying in residential fires on average than by all natural hazards combined, it’s sparking a renewed call from experts for Australians to protect themselves with a working smoke alarm. National Test Your Smoke Alarm Day is on Monday, 1st April. Experts are urging people to use this day to to set monthly reminders in their phones to #TestitTuesday and maintain their smoke alarms.
