There were some exciting games last weekend. M Lawrence had a blinder against H Webb with a comfortable win. Tot and Caine had a close match with the lead changing serval times and Tot came away with the win.

On Sunday there were four games and a good number of onlookers enjoying the bowls. R Traves and P Lees scraped through with a win in close encounter. Tot and Westy came close going down 20/17 in an entertaining match. L Nunn and Crock came from behind to snatch victory from B Bourke and M Wright. Bourkie and Sparky led most of the game and went down by a shot. B Rooke and A Tuimuga got home over M Traves and Sub T Hoy after a strong fightback from Michael and Trevor.

In the Major singles game D Crowe found another way to win in a classic singles match. Beath and D Crowe both led their opponents at several stages during the game. It was anyone’s guess who was going to win in the final stages. Crowe played some classic draw bowls to win 25/19.

Great to see 28 players on Friday night twilight bowls. Don’t forget the Hospital fundraiser on the 5th April.

Thursday afternoon bowls had 8 players attend with Tot and Larry getting the vouchers. The jackpot was not won.

Pennants are just around the corner and team’s are on the notice board. Minor and Major Triples open for nominations. First games after easter weekend.

Badge draws Wednesday at $850 Friday $500 Sunday $850.
