The winner of the inaugural Dr Alex Ritchie $1,000 Bursary to support a promising science student in their university studies is Leah Troy. This Bursary is sponsored by the independent board of the Age of Fishes Museum Association.
Leah is a very committed Canowindra High School Student who has received wonderful reviews from staff at the school. She is starting at Australian National University in Canberra next year, studying a Bachelor of Science, and she will then make the decision as to which specialism to follow.
On being presented with the award, Leah said that she is very grateful for the bursary, and that it will provide an additional level of opportunity for her, and for other country students going forward. Leah will let us have a short report each term, so that we can keep up with her progress.
Well done Leah, and good luck with your studies!
