Canowindra Squash Championships

13 December, 2023 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

On Saturday 9th December the Canowindra Squash Club held their annual Club Championships. There were some incredibly close games which were fiercely contested and great displays of sportsmanship shown throughout the week for the preliminary games and on Saturday during the finals.

The club would like to acknowledge and thank their continued Championship sponsors Nassau Estate, Swinging Bridge Wines and Viridis Ag. They would also like to thank Sportspower Orange, Sportspower Cowra and Orange Tenpin Bowl for their support with the championships this year and to Lawrences IGA, David Bigg Accountancy, MJA Cattle Scan, Montrose House, HydroVac and Canowindra Tyre Service for their continued sponsorship of the club. Without the support of these sponsors the Championships would not be as successful as they continue to be.

Congratulations to all of the 2023 champions and to everyone who took part in the championships and made it such an enjoyable event. Results were:

• Open Champion: Sammy Austin

• Open R/U: Jordan Smith

• Ladies Champion: Amber Adams
