Bowls Report

29 November, 2023 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

There were ten bowlers on Thursday for our jackpot bowls, with Frank and Bob winning the vouchers. The Jackpot was not won, but the consolation draw went to the pairs rink, sharing $250. The Jackpot next week will be over $300. Thursday bowls start at 2pm with names in by 1.45pm.

There was a good roll up on Friday for twilight bowls, the names of winners were not available at the time of print.

Christmas hams start this week on Friday 1st and Sunday 3rd December. Hams are included in meat raffle draws. The Major Raffle draw is now 10th December at 8pm following the meat trays and member’s Badge draw.

The next Sunday Session will be on 17th December, with great music by @ Jack Daintith Music, a visit from the big man himself, Christmas raffles, kid’s art table, and a roll-up jackpot with cash prizes. Check out the Facebook page for details.

Congratulations to Shez and Dingo and their helpers for an excellent Movember Dinner and fundraising effort for men’s heath. Thanks to all members and guest who supported Movember.

This week’s Badge draws this week are Wednesday $500, Friday $700 and last Sunday’s draw went to a lucky member and is now $100. Social bowls available to all members and guest over the weekend.

On Sunday 10th December there will be an afternoon of bowls, $10 per head open draw. Put your name on the notice board to play. There will be $200 shared between winners and runner’s-up.
