Last week, Year 3 students from Canowindra Public School enjoyed an excursion to the Dish in Parkes.
One Year On – Reflection Service Eugowra: A Reflection Service will be held in Eugowra to mark the first anniversary of the November 2022 flood event. The Reflection Service will be held at 9.30am Tuesday, 14 November 2023, at Apex Park, located on the Corner of Grevillea Ave & Broad Street, Eugowra.
The focus of the reflection service will include an acknowledgement of the event of 14th November 2022, to mourn the loss of life that occurred on the day, and to show gratitude for all that has been achieved over the last 12 months – including recognition of all that have provided support. The service will allow members of the community to focus on the future and be reminded of all that is still to come for this resilient community.
Remembrance Day In Canowindra: Don’t forget to head to Memorial Park at 10:40am this Saturday 11th November, for a Remembrance Day ceremony being hosted by the Canowindra RSL sub-Branch in conjunction with Canowindra High School. Canowindra RSL sub-Branch will also be selling fundraising merchandise outside IGA tomorrow, Friday 10th November from 8:30am to 3pm.
CWA Bun In The Oven Event: The Canowindra CWA Branch will be raising funds for the Gidget Foundation from donations at their monthly Friendship Morning Tea to be held next Monday 13th November. This charity helps families cope before, during and after the birth of children. They offer free counseling services and other services for expecting parents, specifically those experiencing perinatal depression and anxiety. For more information visit @GidgetFoundation.
Community Catchup: Cabonne Mayor Kevin Beatty will be holding one-on-one meetings with Canowindra residents at the Canowindra Library between 10am and 2pm, tomorrow, Friday 10th November. Residents or community groups wishing to speak to the Mayor should book a time by calling the General Manager’s Personal Assistant on 6392 3208.
Christmas Cakes: Look for the CWA stall at the Christmas Shopping night where you will be able to purchase home made Christmas cakes in three different sizes, small, medium and large.
