O’Brien Cup winners Maddie Lees and Mathew Lawrence.
Sunday 29th October saw a great final of the O’Brien Cup, with M Lawrence and M Lees defeating D Crowe and F Barton 25/24 after an extra end. Maddie Lees is the first female bowler to win the O’Brien Cup under the new format of open gender competition.Maddie and Mathew lead throughout the game with David and Frank fighting back to tie the game after the compulsory 21 ends.
In the mixed pairs Barney and Nicky defeated Roger and Eryn 28/20. Harry and Tracey defeated Tony and Lea 30/18. Di and Terry defeated Shez and David in a very close game. Ben and Christy just got over Crock and Jeanette.
Next Tuesday 7th November is Melbourne Cup day and the club will be open from 10am. Platters will be available from 1pm.
