The NSW Government is preparing the Lachlan Regional Water Strategy that will bring together the best and latest climate evidence with a wide range of tools and solutions to manage the water needs for the region over the next 20 to 40 years.
The Lachlan Regional Water Strategy Team are seeking input from the community on the future of water in your region before the draft Lachlan Regional Water Strategy is finalised.
The strategy sets out the key challenges for the region and a short-list of proposed actions that could help manage the water needs in the Lachlan region over the next 20 years.
A face-to-face engagement session will be held on Thursday 19 October, 2pm-5pm at the Cowra Bowling and Recreation Club, 22/16 Brougham Street, Cowra. Information will be presented on:
• the previous steps in developing the Lachlan Regional Water Strategy
• the current draft consultation paper and proposed actions
• the next steps.
