Calling all citizen scientists in the Central West! Glossy Black-Cockatoos are a favourite amongst conservationists and the broader community, being well known for their gentle nature, quirky behaviour and distinct colouration.
You can join the Great Inland Black Glossy Cockatoo Count next month at Goobang National Park on Saturday 18 November, 4 – 8pm.
The annual counts provide valuable data for the Making Inland Glosses Great Again project – a collaboration across land tenures led by Central West Local Land Services in partnership with National Parks & Wildlife Service, Forestry Corporation NSW, Dubbo Field Naturalists and Conservation Society, Environment and Heritage Group and funded by the Environmental Trust.
