The Country Education Foundation (CEF) of Canowindra are presenting their 2023 fundraiser with a splash of style and fun at ‘Riverside’ for Melbourne Cup Day on Tuesday, 7th November.
“Come solo, as a couple or get a group together to enjoy race day on the big screen, Calcutta and auctions,” says CEF Canowindra Chairperson Barry Burns.
“We would also like to welcome our MC for the day, Mr Tommy Jeffs who will be presenting awards for men’s and ladies’ fashions on the field, best hat and sweeps.”
Since 2018, CEF Canowindra has been helping reduce financial difficulties for over 50 local young people wanting to further their education goals, distributing over $132,000 in scholarships. These scholarships are solely financed through fundraising and donations.
With CEF Australia matching funds raised in October dollar for dollar, now is the best time to get in and purchase your tickets to the Melbourne Cup fundraiser or make a donation.
Tickets to the fundraising event are $80 per person and include bus to and from Canowindra town centre, canapes and drink on arrival plus a two course lunch.
“We are looking forward to seeing everyone at ‘Riverside’ supporting the youth in our community further their educational goals and enjoying a great day out,” concluded Barry.
