The official opening of the first of four Country Women’s Association (CWA) Co- Working spaces across the state was held in Canowindra on Wednesday 27th September.
The NSW Minister for Women, Hon. Jodie Harrison was there to officially open the space, emphasising the government’s commitment to empowering and supporting women across the state.
“This initiative is a testament to the importance of creating inclusive spaces for women in all parts of society. It offers a chance for women to develop their skills, network, and foster a sense of community. The opening of this space is a significant milestone for the local community and serves as a beacon of inspiration for other regions,” said Ms Harrison.
Thanks to the NSW Government’s support, generously providing $400,000 to the Country Women’s Association (CWA) of NSW to transform four local halls across NSW into vibrant co-working spaces, providing affordable, equipped, and shared community spaces for women in regional and rural parts of the state. It’s a fantastic opportunity for women in these areas to come together, connect, and collaborate in a welcoming environment.
