Spring is here for the Central West Throwers which means competition time. In the past few weeks Throwers have been competing in the Schools State competitions with great success. Starting at Sydney Olympic Park, Lila McCafffery and Emily Thomas from Canowindra High School competed in discus and the both finished 6th in their age groups, Jorja Winfield from Temora competed in discus, shot put and javlin.

CANBERRA 17th September: Mia Zasiadczyk (Canberra) 1st hammer throw u16’s and qualified for Allschools National’s, Kara Barker (Canberra) 1st in open 4kg hammer throw.
CWT have 12 athletes competing over the next two weekends at the Allschools Championships in Sydney. If they finish in the top two they will qualify for the Allschools Nationals to be held in Perth in December. Good luck to all Ernie’s athletes who are heading to Sydney.
