Canowindra Local Completes City To Surf: Campbell Fitness Studio client, Maddi Devlin took on the challenge that is the City 2 Surf on 13th August. Not only did Maddi take on this intense 14km race, but, she completed it in 1.5 hours. Sarah Campbell, owner of Campbell Fitness Studion is very proud and impressed by what her amazing client has accomplished.
Sticky Nightshade Info Day: The Mandurama Hall is hosting a special information day on September 6th regarding Sticky Nightshade. Sticky Nightshade is an incredibly invasive plant that diminishes the ability for crop and pasture plants to thrive. The main objective for the information day is clear communication and cooperation between the different landowners that are impacted by Sticky Nightshade. The council is hoping to get various proposals from government and private stakeholders including local and state government, landholders, contractors, and agronomists.
Coopers Farm Gear Caragabal Sheep Races: It’s nearly that time for the Coopers Farm Gear Caragabal Sheep Races on Saturday 9th September at 11:30am at the What is your favourite book?
Caragabal Country Club.This event has always been a core part of the community’s social calendar with its fun filled family activities. The sheep races will once again offer the usual quirky fun including a six race program with impressive prize money which includes sweeps and auctions, the famous lolly drop from a plane, a fully stocked canteen and bar facilities.Camping will be allowed on the golf course on Friday and Saturday night, and there will be live music by ‘The Young Ones’.
Woodstock Memorial Show: This coming fathers day why not take a family drive out to the Woodstock Memorial Show? The day will be filled with amazing family friendly events, including camel rides, horse events, tractor pull, chainsaw races and more! Tickets can be purchased at the gate for only $10 for an adult, $5 for pensioners and children under 15 are free!
Cowra Dirt Track Club Day: On Sunday, 10th September, a Cowra Dirt Track Club Day will take place at Woodstock Park Speedway, Purcell Drive, Woodstock. Head along and support the many local riders for a fantastic family day out. Gates open at 7:30am, and sign-up to take place from 8am to 9am. For spectators, admittance into the event is only a gold coin donation. There will also be a full canteen available on the day.
