The 2023 Canowindra Show is fast approaching, so now is the time to start thinking about your entries for the Cobley Pavilion. Whether you like cooking, painting, photography, flower arranging, knitting or sewing, there is a section for every creative endeavour.
Entries cost 50c per item (cash only) and are to be delivered to the Ladies Auxiliary Office at the Cobley Pavilion between 10.30am and 2.30pm from Monday to Thursday during the week prior to show.
Section Q: Quilting and Patchwork categories include:
• Patchwork Quilt: hand sewn, hand quilted, machine quilted and machine sewn. Landscape traditional or contemporary, featuring applique – hand quilted or machine quilted by exhibitor, and featuring applique – commercially quilted.
• Quilt: heirloom style
• Quilt: featuring mainly embroidery
• Quilt: for child or baby
• Quilt: made from a kit
Patchwork or applique: table runner, wall hanging, cushion, bag, Christmas article – novelty and toy, doll or teddy. Attractive and practical item made from material scraps (must not be a quilt).
Any patchwork not mentioned.
Creative Garment eg: Jacket, Vest.
Entry forms are available at the Canowindra Post Office for 40c each and must be attached to each entry or complete sections. Exhibits must be in pavilion ready for judging by 9.30am on Friday 22nd September.
