On Sunday, the 9th of August, Canowindra Pony Club, with Karen Kent and the Lion’s Club invaluable help, held its annual Swap Meet. The meet also supports local businesses in town as all food and drinks are sourced from IGA, Canowindra Butchery and Canowindra Bakery.
As the Pony Club’s major yearly fundraiser, it was great to see so many people supporting the Swap Meet, and raising much needed funds for the children who attend Pony Club.
A huge thank you to Karen Kent who organises and coordinates the stalls and swappers as well as everyone who helped in the canteen on Sunday, worked on the gate and the Lion’s Club for running Saturday’s canteen. Special thank you to Johnny Lawrence from IGA who donated all the soft drinks and water for the day – it was a massive contribution and we are incredibly grateful.
