Saturday 5th August:
In Obrien Cup games Dool and Fitz v Harry and Jack at 10.30am, followed by Westy and Tony v Jamie and Crock 1pm. A Consistency game will be played at 1pm by Phil lees v Brad Bourke, marker Leanne West.
Sunday 6 August:
The following Consistency games are scheduled for this weekend; Roger v Harry, Marker Frank at 10.30am; Dool v Tot, marker Tony at 10.30am; Crowe v Crock, marker TBA at 1.00pm.
There was a good number of bowls played last week. In Major Triples Dool Westy and Taylor had a close game against Phil, Brent and Brad. The scores were locked at 18 all on the 18th end, with Dool’s team winning the last three ends to win 22/18.
In Consistency games, Caine defeated Tony 154 to 124. Jack defeated Peter in a close game 154 to 151 that saw Jack coming home with a strong finish. Dool defeated Jamie 154 to 95. Nigel defeated Frank 150 to145 in another close game. Crock defeated Leanne 152 to 138, although Crock came home strong to win, the game was very close throughout.
In the O’Brien Cup game Crowey and Frank had a good win over Barney and Toby 39 to 27 . Crowey’s team had a good lead with Barney’s side fighting back to only just fall short.
There were good numbers on Thursday with 12 bowlers rolling up. The jackpot was not won, again next Thursday at 2pm.Badge draws this week are Wednesday $600, Friday $600 and Sunday $300.
