The Canowindra Balloon Challenge is an integral part of the fabric of the Canowindra community. Not only does it drive tourism to our town, it puts Canowindra firmly on the map across Australia and also internationally.
It takes a team of dedicated volunteers to run the Canowindra Balloon Challenge, which encompasses The Cabonne Community Glow, held on the Saturday night.
Being part of the Canowindra Balloon Challenge Committee is an honoured role, which trequires a high level of commitment.
There are eight positions available on the Committee for 2024. At the AGM being held on Monday, 10th July the community is encouraged to come along and nominate themselves to take a role.
After the AGM, the newly formed Committee will meet to determine the positions that each committee member will undertake. These include President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer along with other committee positions.
If anyone in the community would like to nominate earlier than Monday, please send through an email to editor@canowidnraphoenix.com.au and we will pass the nomination on for the AGM.
The outgoing committee has done a fantastic job managing the entertainment, events and the balloon flights in the past years, and on behalf of the Canowindra community we would like to extend a special thanks for all their time and effort.
The dates for next year’s Canowindra Balloon Challenge will be announced at the AGM on Monday night, 10th July at 6:00pm. The AGM will be held at the Canowindra Services Club.
