John and Andrea Barwick are ready to dazzle everyone at the 12 hour dance.
Dancers from across the Central West will converge on Canowindra over the June Long Weekend to participate in the annual 12 Hour Dance, hosted by Canowindra New Vogue and Social Dance Group.
The Canowindra Services Club will host the event, and ticket prices are $15 per head which includes light refreshments throughout the day. Patrons are encouraged to have lunch and dinner at the club.
Kicking off at 10am, the day will feature two live bands, David Whitty and Phil Redenbach with DJ Dougie ensuring the music keeps playing all day while the bands take a break.
A highlight of the day will be special dance demonstrations from professional dancers, Andrea and John Barwick.
“We are very excited to have the Barwick’s come all the way from Cowora to demonstrate and perform for us. They are big celebrities in the dance world,” said Gail Davis.
Dancers will have the opportunity to learn new choreography as well as enjoy old time favorites.
“It has been onwards and upwards since returning after COVID. We had about 100 people last year and are hoping for more than 120 this year,” said Gail.
