Where were you born? I was born in Sydney. We moved out here in 1974 when we brought a business in town. All of my husband’s family are from here as well.
Were you named after anyone? I was named after my mother and grandmother, all were Mary.
What historical moment stands out to you? When JFK was shot. I was at work in Sydney.
What was your first Job? I was a seamstress/ dressmaker.
What is the best piece of advice you could give someone? Don’t tell lies!
What is the biggest risk you have ever taken? Moving out to Canowindra in the 70’s.
When are you happiest? When I am with my family. I have just returned from spending three weeks with them.
If you had $10,000 what would you spend it on? I would plan a big family reunion.
How long have you been volunteering with Vinnies? I have been involved with St Vincent De Paul most of my life, but about 20 years in the Canowindra store.
What do you love most about it? Helping people and the opportunity to be kind to people.
