Supporting Royce’s Big Walk: Cartoonist Darren Green from www.thecartooncellar.com presented his Caricature of NRL Legend Royce Simmons to his wife, Liane Simmons at the stunning Finn’s Store in Canowindra.
Darren created and donated his caricature to Royce to have it Auctioned off to help raise money for Royce’s Dementia Awareness cause. Royce is currently doing a 300 km walk from Dubbo to Bathurst and was passing through nearby Eugowra today.
We wish Royce all the best in succeeding on his 10-day 300km Big Walk for Dementia.

Canowindra Creative Centre Raffle Winner: Congratulations to Stephen Brookes who was the winner of the Canowindra Creative Centre raffle drawn on Saturday 15th April. The prize was a $50 open order anywhere in Canowindra. Stephen chose Lawrence’s IGA. Thank you to everyone for supporting this important community group.
Canowindra Phoenix Colouring Competition Winner: Congratulations to Zoe Maynard who is the winner of our balloon colouring competition. It was certainly a tough decision and thank you to everyone who entered.

Antique Vehicles Visit: On Friday, 5th May, 130 Pre-1931 vehicles will visit Canowindra after lunch at Gooloogong Log Cabin as part of The Autumn Tour held each year in the Central West. This year’s event is hosted by Dinosaur Drivers Register Inc Cowra. Head on down to Gaskill Street to check out the vintage cars.
