Stork News: Hannah and Brad Meyer from Griffith are rejoicing the birth of their first baby. Emily Louise Meyer, born 1st March 2023. Grandparents are Heather and Mark Norman from Barooga and Peter Gilroy from Canowindra, Emily is Nancy Morrow’s 25th Great Grandchild. 

Retraction: In The Canowindra Phoenix issue 723, we incorrectly published the date for the Canowindra Balloon Challenge street parade as Sunday 15th April instead of Saturday 15th April. We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused. We look forward to seeing the street filled with festivities on Saturday, 15th April.

Riverbank Gallery: ‘A Nagging Truth’ Exhibition by Peter Larsen is running from the 8th April – 1st May at Eddy’s of Canowindra, 13 Tilga Street. Peter has turned his love and respect for the equine into exquisite artwork. Combining his primary medium of watercolour with other mediums to create life and movement within each piece This exhibition not to be missed! Take a drive to Iandra Castle: Iandra Castle is a historical homestead set on majestic gardens near Greenthrope. The castle will be open to the public this Sunday, 9th April. Bookings are essential through www.iandracastle.com.au and people are encouraged to book early due Easter Sunday being one of its more popular dates. Bring a picnic to enjoy in the grounds with family and friends.
