Our Bloke – Tim Slattery

16 March, 2023 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

How long have you lived in Canowindra and what do you like about it? I moved here when I was 13. My dad was a Canowindra local, and as kids we spent our holidays here. All up it’s been about 31 years. I love the feel of the town, the people, how peaceful it is and that everyone helps each other.

What do you do for work? I own Duck It IT store. We build machines, service machines and we now also have printing. We provide business services with our major clients being The Voice of the Survivor and Veriprise. I have loved computers from a very young age. My Grandfather was the one who got me interested in them. I found my way into IT through friends, working at Leading Edge in Orange while gaining some qualifications along the way.

What are your hobbies? Computers and Cars. Definitely still a computer nerd. I am also building a HT Holden Premier, getting it ready for Summernats 2024.

If you had $10,000 what would you spend it on? Definitely computer or car parts!

If you had one single piece of advice, what would it be? Just do it, life is too short.
