Canowindra Junior Cricket

15 December, 2022 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

The top order batters did a great job of defending their wickets while scoring valuable runs. All batters took a positive attitude to their batting with the running between wickets a feature of the innings.

A great innings by Fraser who showed an excellent mix of attacking and defensive shots in his innings of 41.

The younger brigade of Harry, Jack and Jack showed they are very at home at this level of cricket with good contributions in the field. Harry was a vital part of several productive batting partnerships which made our large total possible.

Bowling was a true team effort with tight straight bowling not allowing the opposition batters to get settled and providing a steady flow of wickets.

Wickets to – Jack Daley, Spencer Markcrow, Max Douglass, Sam Markcrow and Annie Wooldridge. Jack Daly announced himself with a fine spell of bowling of 2 for 7 off 3 overs. Player of the match -Fraser Wythes, Team Player award – JackDaley. Training as usual 4:30pm at the nets on Wednesday.
