On Saturday, 29th October the Major Fours semi-final was played. R. Fitzgerald, A. Robson and B. Bourke were too strong for D.Beath, R. Traves, P. Taylor and P. Ken
nedy. It was a close game until the 9th end with the Fitz’s running away with the game, winning 9 straight ends. The final score 27-10.Well done to Phil Jones and Pat Kennedy who both played strong games ontheir return to Bowls this week.
In an O’Brien Cup game, Phil and Margo proved too strong for Frank Barton and Luke Salvatucci (sub), defeating the pair 27-15.
On Sunday, 30th October the Major Triples final was played with R. Fitzgerald, A. Robson and P. Jones defeating the up and coming bowlers, W. Fisher, M. Traves, and D.Watt. The final score was 38-10.
Three games of consistency were alsoplayed on Sunday. M. Lawrence had a strong win over J. Webb 150-115. C. Rooke defeated T. Tulmunga 150-140 in what some might say is an upset. B. Bourke defeated L. Nunn with a comfortable win, 152-109.
