Rosnay Cellar Door opening on October 29th attracted guests from far and wide.
A new creative space in the old cellar under Finn’s Store in Canowindra was opened to the public Saturday, 29th October. The Cartoon Cellar Gallery is currently displaying the first collection of Darren Green’s “Famous Faces” Caricatures Collection with lots more fun and interesting exhibitions and activities to come.
Darren has a long history of working in newspapers, children’s creative and commercial environments over the last four decades. Some of these projects have included creating cartoons for Agro, Yowie Chocolates, Mascot concepts for The Sydney Olympics, Max Walkers Cricket Club, NRL Kids Club, Kelloggs Rice Bubbles, Moove and many others.
Over 150 visitors turned out during the day and came from locations as far as Sydney, Canberra and the Southern Highlands to enjoy the caricatures, Finn’s Store’s courtyard and lunch or coffee afterwards.
The day was promoted as a Cellar 2 Cellar opening which also included the General Public Opening of Rosnay Organic Wines stunning new Cellar Door. Guests from the gallery opening proceeded to meet up with many other guests to view the new cellar and sample a wonderful variety of wines and treats whilst listening to music and watching the sun set over the sun deck area.
Darren and Finn’s Store owners Jackie and Geoff Yeo would like to thank all those that visited on Saturday and welcome you all back soon to see and sample new art, fancy goods and tasty treats.
Darren will be regularly drawing and painting in the gallery space during Finn’s Stores opening hours and welcomes you to come and visit and watch as he creates his next artworks. Limited edition posters can be purchased directly from Finn’s Store or online.
The Cartoon Cellar will be open every Wednesday to Sunday at the same times as Finn’s Store. Rosnay Organic Wines will be open Friday to Sunday, 10am to 4pm.
