After a short break Girls Group is back at the Uniting/ Anglican Church.
The group was started five years ago when Sue Hodge found young girls in the area were needing support, nurturing and more knowledge about God.
The group meets fortnightly on Fridays with afternoon tea provided, followed by craft, games and a discussion on God, life skills and relationships.
Sue hopes the girls find more than just a group where they can get together and create, but a space where they feel safe, included, and able to express themselves.
Sue is also hoping the girls will form new friends and of course, have fun.
A highlight of the group is the annual Christmas Party where they go out to dinner together as well as recognising several other holidays throughout the year in the form of themed craft sessions.
Girls Group is supported by Canowindra Craft and Hobby shop as well as the Uniting/ Anglican Church and craft donations are appreciated.
Girls Group is recommended for ages 9 and up and runs for two hours from 3-5pm alternate Fridays at the Old Anglican Church Hall, behind the Uniting/ Anglican Church.
