IMAGE: Staff are urgently needed for the running of the Canowindra Pool for the upcoming summer season.
With the upcoming pool season about to start there are several positions available that are still needing to be filled, that are essential to the operations and to the the running of the Canowindra Pool. If these positions are not filled, the pool will not be able to operate fully and will only ber available in reduced hours.
Cabonne Pool Manager, Theresa Armstrong is encouraging Canowindra locals to step up for the sake of our community and the recreational activities that having a facility like the pool brings to our town.
“The pool is an integral part of our community, a vibrant and inclusive space that gives meaning, civic pride, social cohesion, and a place for true connection. A place that offers people the opportunities for people to connect, and to improve their health and well-being,” Mrs Armstrong stated.
At the recent pool advisory meeting, an innovative and dynamic community developmental model has been put in place to give capacity to the community to secure the pool’s future.
The integral role to supporting the opening and running of the pool is the Pool Administrator role. The Pool Administrator will supervise daily operations of the Canowindra pool (and other locations as required) to ensure effective and efficient operations by performing direct supervision and oversight of lifeguarding activities, kiosk administration and quality management of pool plant and equipment.
Cabonne Council is also seeking lifeguards and Kiosk attendants. Training and support to acquire these positions will be provided to the candidates.
