How long have you lived in or around Canowindra and what do you like about living here? My wife Deb and I were born here. We moved to Canberra for 15 years and returned 34 years ago when we purchased the Newsagency. I love the community spirit, the people and it’s a great place to bring up the kids.
How are you involved with the community? I used to be involved in the football clubs and coach the kids. I also was a member of a few committees like the show committee. Through the Newsagency we support many of the community organisations in town.
Where do you work and what do you enjoy most about where you work? I have been running the Newsagency with my wife Deb for the last 34 years. I like talking to everyone who comes in and meeting everyone.
What do you do to unwind on weekends? Watching my grandkids play sports, reading and watching footy.
What’s on your bucket list? Retiring! But more travelling would be nice.
What makes your day? Having coffee in the morning, and wine at night!
What will you miss most about the Newsagency? Talking to the people that come in with their daily news and stories about their lives.
