The Canowindra Masonic Lodge, recognising the recent centenary of the Canowindra Soldiers Memorial Hospital, approached the hospital physiotherapy department regarding equipment they might require.
The response was that donation’s to the hospital regularly covered the gym equipment replacements, but that other measurement equipment requirements necessary had no budget at all.
Two primary items were nominated by the physiotherapy department and included a Baseline Bubble Inclinometer and a Hydraulic Hand Dynamometer.
The items totalling around $853 were subsequently procured by the Canowindra Masonic Lodge and handed to the physiotherapy department at the hospital as a way of celebrating the centenary year.
Senior Physiotherapist, Danielle Messina reports that the items donated to the department have been in daily use by physiotherapy patients since they were received at the hospital.
Worthy of note is that the Masonic Lodge Canowindra also celebrates its centenary year this year along with the hospital and over the years many Masons have served on the hospital board.
