The Canowindra Junior Cricket Club will hold its AGM on Tuesday 16th August at 6.30pm at Canowindra Services Club and are seeking new members.
All positions will be declared vacant at the AGM and a new committee will be elected, as the current delegates are moving on.
Positions include: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Junior Blast Co-Ordinator, Child Safety Officer and Registrar.
Following the AGM a short meeting will be held to discuss the results of the survey that was created and the cricket net upgrade with the grant that was obtained.
If you or your children have an interest or affiliation with junior cricket in Canowindra I urge you to attend this meeting.
Participation rates in junior cricket in both Blast and Juniors have been steadily increasing in recent years, including a marked increase in female participation. This can be attributed to our coaching staff, and in particular Mr Andrew Phelan and his dedication and hard work with Blast and Stage 1. His unwavering support will be very missed!
The current committee would be very disappointed to see our club lose this momentum due to a lack of volunteers.
The failure to form a new committee, will result in no junior cricket in Canowindra for the 2022/23 season.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with junior cricket in the past 5 years, and look forward to handing over to the next committee to continue making junior sport possible for our community.
