Pythons Go Down To Geurie

21 July, 2022 By Karly Bourke

Cormac McHenry flies high in the line out against the Geurie Goats.

The boys had a hard hit out on Saturday against the Geurie Goats at home. The boys came out hard with local utility Lachlan Davis doing a kick chase with a try being scored by outside centre Fred Fletcher.

Geurie were then quick to come back with a try but missing the conversion bringing the score to 7-5. The boys battled it out and outside centre Fred just had to come back with a back to back try.

At half time the score was 12-7, Geurie then fought back with a try down the left hand side of the field bringing the score to 12-10.

The boys fought it out but Geurie got through with another try bringing the score to 17-10. There were some huge scrums, hard hits and big tackles right through to full time where Geurie just managed to get through to score another try bringing the full time score to 22-12.

Three points and players player went to Lachie Davis, two points to Angus Fisher and one point to Cormac McHenry.

The Pythons have one more game left for the season against the Molong Magpies this Friday night at the Oval.
