The Canowindra Women’s Bowls Club Fours winners last Tuesday were Joyce Boland, Penny Nash, Gwen Haydon and Libby Balcombe.
Last Friday a Minor Triples match was played with Tot Fisher, Crock Watt and Mick Traves against Barry Bourke, Sparky Wright and Brad Bourke. After 17 ends Brad’s team had a handy lead 23-14. Mick’s team were unable to bridge the gap with Brad’s team winning 23-20.
Last Sunday a Major Fours match was played with Tot Fisher, Crock Watt, Brian McClintock and Mick Traves against Westy Wyburn, Ben Rooke, Tony Tuimauga and David Crowe. Crowy’s team took control early in the game and winning the match 24-8.
Last Monday a Minor Triples match was played with Lane Fisher, Toby Newcombe and Trevor Hoy against Ben Rooke, Caine Rooke and Jack Webb. Jack’s team had a comfortable win 26-10.
Saturday June 17: Minor Triples Final – Barry Bourke, M Wright and Brad Bourke v B Rooke, C Rooke and J Webb.
Sunday June 18: Major Fours – N Knight, M Wright, B Church and I Nelder v A Wyburn, B Rooke, T Tuimauga and D Crowe.
The draw for the O’Brien Cup has been completed and games may be played by mutual agreement.
Nominations are now called for the Consistency Singles, a sign up sheet is on the notice board.
Thanks to those members who participated in a working bee to complete the fencing around the Harry Traves green.
Wednesday badge draw will be $1,200, Friday badge draw will be $300 and Sunday badge draw will be $200. Don’t forget Bingo this Thursday at 11am.
