Canowindra Art Gallery has announced a weekend art mentoring program for young artists. The program will feature six fun workshops designed to introduce students to a variety of art mediums, techniques, elements, and subjects.
The course will be conducted by Leanne Wilson of The Little Art Company Art School. The mentoring classes will be held on 6 consecutive Saturdays from 23rd July through to 27th August, and will conclude with an exhibition of the children’s artwork from Friday 2nd September.
Perfect for school aged artists who would like to dip their toes into the art world and experience a variety of projects to gain new or to develop existing skills under the guidance of Leanne Wilson, a professional and experienced artist and art teacher.
As is the case with the Mentoring classes that are currently being run on behalf of the gallery by Sue Hodge, funds for The Little Art Company Art School program have been provided by The Sally Foundation through the Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal and Canowindra Art Gallery. The intention in providing these programs is to give similar advantages to country kids that are often easily obtained in cities.
Each class will be run from 1pm each Saturday until conclusion with the exhibition at Canowindra Art Gallery on 2nd, 3rd and 4th September.
