The Grandparents are Peter and Jenny Watson of Canowindra, Tahira Mahmood and Mahmood Asgar of Pakistan and Great Grandparent Ann Graham of Canowindra.

An Evening With An Author: The Canowindra Historical Society and Museum is hosting Author Rebecca Wilson on Tuesday 2nd June, 6:15pm at the Canowindra Services Club. Rebecca will be speaking about her latest book, “Kate Kelly – Ned’s Little Sister.” This is a free event and tickets can be booked by scanning the QR code on the posters that are positioned around town, or simply come along on the night.
Crafternoon Canowindra: The CWA Canowindra Branch will be holding monthly craft workshops at the CWA Hall in Blatchford Street. Commencing this Sunday, you can bring along your own craft project or come along and join in on a CWA craft project. All welcome. No need to be a member to join in.
Fundraising Success: On Saturday night, renowned Psychic Medium Val Hood came along to Canowindra to hold a fundraising initiative to raise money for local sports sensation Emily Thomas and her coach Ernie Shankleton. The money raised on the night will help Emily and Ernie to travel to Mackay on 2nd June to compete with the Regional Australian Team in Hammer Throw. A big thank you to Canowindra Services Club,, Canowindra Lions Club, Tommy Jeffs, Central West Saddlery, Vintage Trail Riders and to all those who attended, donated money and bought raffle tickets. Election 2022 – ALP Voted In: Last Saturday 21st May 2022 the Federal Election took place, and as a result a new Labor government led by Anthony Albanese was sworn in on Monday morning, 23rd May. In the Calare electorate, Nationals, Andrew Gee has retained his seat with a margin of 48.27% over Independant, Kate Hook.
Soccer Stars: Congratulations to Sam Markcrow (under 10’s) and Spencer Markcrow (under 11’s) for being selected in representative Soccer and playing for the Lachlan Valley United rep team in the Western Youth League. The boys played in Dubbo on the weekend with next week being the last week in the competition.
