Congratulations to Emily and Lila on their outstanding achievements at the Junior State Championships last weekend.
Over the weekend, Canowindra High School students Emily Thomas (Year 10) and Lila McCaffery (Year 9) travelled to Sydney Olympic Park to compete in the NSW Junior State Championships.
Emily competed in the Under 17’s Hammer Throw and threw a huge 41.03m, winning her a first place gold medal in her age category.
Lila competed in the Under 16’s Hammer Throw and threw an amazing 39.65m earning her second place and a silver medal in her age category.
The girls will both now go on to compete in the National Championships in late March.
