Canowindra Lady golfers celebrated the end of competition with a lunch and presentation on Wednesday. Pass the parcel with a left-right twist, led by Edna set the mood for a relaxed and grateful afternoon. 2021 program was not followed due to restrictions but we are grateful to get on the course and meet golf buddies when we could. Thank you to all who have contributed throughout the year; to the volunteers for maintaining the course each week, the bar staff, the board and for our sponsors for your support.

The club Champions for 2021, A grade Ros Partridge, B grade Julie Fairley, C grade Maureen Lawrence. Runners up were A grade Annette Thomas, B grade Collette Armstrong, C grade Helen Constable. Best Nett score over the Championship, sponsored by The Canowindra Pharmacy, was Eileen Wilson with 68. This was also the Best Nett score for 2021 and was sponsored by Denise Gilbank. Best Nett score for Championship for B grade was Helen Kemper and for C grade Edna Hughes.

The Foursome Championship results 1st Collette Armstrong and Ros Partridge, 2nd Julie Fairley and Helen Kemper 3rd Helen Constable and Lorrae Barker.

Veterans Championship; Div. 1 Scratch – Eileen Wilson, Div. 2 Scratch – Ros Partridge, Nett winner Helen Kemper, Div. 3 Scratch Maureen Lawrence, Nett Helen Constable and the Senior Vet winner the beautiful Edna Hughes.

The Forsythe Cup Winners were Ros Partridge and Edna Hughes. The Lawford Cup Match play winner was the ecstatic Helen Constable with Roslyn Partridge the runner up.

The Isabel Carmen Memorial Trophy for Consistency, donated by Dave and Elise Carmen was won by Helen Kemper. Helens consistent golf will explain the following. Nancy West Memorial trophy for Putting, donated by Jeannie McLaren, won by Helen Kemper. The Sally Apps Memorial Trophy for PAR, donated by Cathy and Dawn Flannery, won by Helen Kemper. The most 1 Putt event, donated by Annette Thomas, won by Helen Kemper. Helen also had the best 10 Nett scores for 2021, Sponsored by the CWA winner and she won the point score event.

The Elsie Hargreaves Memorial Birdie Trophy was awarded jointly to Julie Fairley and Collette Armstrong. Collette had the most Gobbles for the season, Eileen’s Eagle on the 11th was recognised, Ros Partridge won the Charity Cup, Rhonda Ward won the Goodwill Plate and Eileen Wilson won the Northcott Spoon Event. WDLGA Spoon Event Div. 1 Eileen Wilson. Div2 Helen Kemper R/Up R. Partridge. Div.3 Maureen Lawrence and R/Up Edna Hughes.

The Medal of medals was contested by six players with Collette Armstrong being by far the strongest on the day. The Mabel McKenzie Brooch winner, Div. 1 Annette Thomas, Div.2 Helen Kemper, Div. 3 Helen Constable and the Senior Vet Edna Hughes. The winner 1st Eclectic round and the Stable Event was Eileen Wilson, 2nd Eclectic round Ros Partridge and the player with the most changed holes over the Eclectics was Edna Hughes. The 4BBB Vs Stableford Event was won by Collette Armstrong and Lorrae Barker.

There is a social comp of 12 holes over summer each Wednesday commencing 7.45am for 8am.
