The Canowindra Pool opens this Saturday, 6 November.
The 2021 pool season is upon us in Canowindra, with the opening date set for Saturday, 6 November 2021. As we leave winter behind, here is some important information as we head into summer.
The pool opening times are:
• Sunday 10am – 6pm
• Monday 6am – 8am and 10am – 6:30pm
• Tuesday 10am – 6:30pm
• Wednesday 6am – 8am and 10am –6:30pm
• Thursday 10am – 6:30pm,
• Friday 6am – 8am and 10am – 5:30pm
• Saturday 10am – 6pm.

Due to current Public Health Orders, pool attendees who are aged 16 years and over must be double vaccinated. Cabonne Council will endeavour to keep the community informed as the Public Health Orders change. The region’s pool openings falls in line with the NSW Government’s new learn to swim voucher program being expanded from preschool aged children to include kindergarten kids who missed out on lessons due to COVID restrictions. Under the ‘First Lap’ program, eligible children can access a $100 voucher for swimming lessons with an approved provider, with businesses able to register for it from next month. Summer in Australia is all about being near water, whether it be by the pool, river or beach.
Utilising these vouchers will allow kids to have the crucial knowledge of knowing how to swim. The First Lap Voucher will be available from 1st December through Service NSW. For more information, log onto www.sport.nsw.gov.au/firstlap
