East Coast Stockfeeds (ECS) offers a broad range of stockfeeds worldwide and works closely with producers in our district to do so. They collect wheat, canola, chickpeas, faba beans, oats, barley and lupins from district producers.
ECS is hosting their 2021 information session at Gooloogong Country Club on Thursday September 23 from 3pm.
On the agenda is the upcoming harvest, specifically grower requirements, commodities and their anticipated yields as well as expectations for deliveries to their sites.
Conversation is set to include expected cash prices and current forward contract opportunities.
“We will be discussing our vastly im-proved site operations position in relation to increased permanent staff members, new bunkers, augers, grain tarps and loaders to best cater for the needs of our local farmers,” said ECS Director Stuart Dolden.
“Outlook is expected to be above average yields with some early yield loss due to excessive wet conditions over the last few months, which hopefully are made up with good growing conditions from now to harvest.”
Recent investments in new bunkers and sheds has increased storage capacity by 50% and expanded grain segregations.
“With that storage capacity increase came several new augers and two new loaders. ECS has two private storage and container packing facilities (Billimari and Gooloogong) and also receives grain delivered into other bulk handlers across the eastern states for various Export markets and distribution across NSW, Victoria and Queensland,” Mr Dolden said.
ECS also has a fleet of trucks dedicated to servicing their customers’ needs throughout the harvest period and the remainder of the year loading direct off farm and also our sites.
