Canowindra Public School students will still be taking part in lessons and activities virtually to celebrate Education Week 2021
Schools across NSW are celebrating Education Week in a variety of online ways, as they recognise what has been a historic 18 months for education. Education Week 2021 celebrates the theme ‘lifelong learners’.
Education Week has been a highlight of the NSW public education calendar for more than 60 years and this year, more than ever, our schools deserve to be celebrated.
“From quality early childhood education, through primary and secondary schools and onto higher education, together we are ensuring all our students are equipped with the skills they need to lead rewarding lives as engaged citizens,” said Minister for Education and Early Childhood Learning Sarah Mitchell.
All schools in the region are celebrating Education Week with their own events.
MAKING SURE COMMUNITY IS INCLUDED
Even though COVID-19 stay-at-home lock-down ended halfway through the week, Canowindra Public School students will still be taking part in lessons and activities virtu-ally. The students and teachers have been preparing a video to share with parents to mark the special occasion, given they can’t come onto school grounds currently.
The school is also launching their official Facebook page. Pictures, videos and anything official will be posted to inform the community, with teachers to maintain privacy and standards on the platform.
The usual open day and colour run will be held later in the year. Holding events virtually or postponing things will be the way through the rest of the year. Kinder enrollments are now open. Contact the Canowindra Public School on 6344 1403 for further information.
