Our own backyard has some pretty nice scenic treats, which haven’t gone unnoticed in the recent Spring tourism promotion.
Canowindra is featured in Central West NSW’s new ‘Great Outdoors’ bucket list with some of the best things to see and do on a day trip or short break in the area.
The surrounding fields of gold are mentioned in the new ‘Cowra Canola Touring’ Routes, self-drive guides to get the best out of a visit to four different touring routes. These include Canowindra.
Hot air balloon flights offered by Aussie Balloon Trek and Balloon Joy Flights, have been highlighted as a birds-eye view opportunity of the Spring canola.
Also included are ‘Detour Adventures and Simmo’s Off-road Tours’ and Mayfield Garden tours as opportunities to enjoy our own backyard. Get off the beaten track and explore Oberon and Bathurst’s Spring flowers and mountain high forest lookouts on a 4WD adventure tour. From September 26 to October 25, Mayfield Gardens in Oberon will be offering a ‘Spring Open’.
