Andrew Coe has been appointed CEO of the Western NSW Primary Health Network.
More Drought Funding on the Way: The Australian Government is investing $13.4 million in the Natural Resource Management (NRM) Drought Resilience Program to help build more drought resilient landscapes.
Minister for Agriculture, Drought and Emergency Management David Littleproud said the funding will enable farmer groups, agricultural businesses and organisations to adapt their practices and enhance their farming systems to increase drought resilience. “A total of 66 projects are receiving funding through this grants round. Two further regional NRM regional bodies will also receive funding through the landscapes stream of the NRM program. Together, these projects will help to enhance the sustainability of our farming landscapes.”

Council Election Information Night: With Local Government Elections coming up in early September, Cabonne Council is calling for interested residents to put their hat in the ring to become a councillor in 2021.
A candidate information session will be held on Wednesday, 9 June at Cabonne Council Chambers (101 Bank Street, Molong) from 5:30-8pm. The session aims to assist residents in judging their fitness to stand for election to Council, while sharing the process and the role and responsibilities elected members of council hold. WNSW PHN Welcomes New CEO: Western NSW Primary Health Network (WNSW PHN) announced the appointment of Andrew Coe as its new chief executive officer earlier this month. Having held various executive roles in healthcare across the UK, Australia, New Zealand and Qatar, Andrew says he is excited to make an impact in Western NSW, particularly to further the organisation’s strategic priority of Aboriginal health. “The vastness of Western NSW brings with it its own unique set of challenges in healthcare delivery, so I am thrilled to be joining an organisation that has such a determination to improve the health and well-being of local residents, no matter where they live in our region,” said Andrew. Andrew Coe will commence the role of WNSW PHN CEO in July, succeeding An-drew Harvey, who vacated the role in December 2020. Robert Strickland will continue to act in the role of CEO until July.
