Our Bloke – Adam Barrow

29 April, 2021 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

Adam Barrow – Ballooning CEO

How long have you lived in or around Canowindra and what do you like about living here? I moved here when I was six months old and moved out when I was 22. It is a great place to return to.

How are you involved in the Canowindra community? I have been the CEO of the ballooning side of the Canowindra International Balloon Challenge for the last four years.

Where do you work and what do you enjoy most about your work? I work for McCain Foods which is a French fry manufacturing company based in Canada but I live in Melbourne. I like getting paid!

What do you do to unwind after work or on weekends? I love music. It is the best cure for everything.

What are you really good at? I am a jack of all trades.

What is your pet hate? People who do not do what they say they are going to do.

What is on your bucket list? I would love to climb Everest.

Tell us about your best holiday ever? My honeymoon in the Galapagos Islands was easily the best holiday.

What makes your day? After having a heart attack in October, waking up every single day is a bonus for me. You do not take anything for granted once you have had a heart attack.
