Tigers Rugby League Club

8 April, 2021 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

The centenary will kick off with a meet and greet at major sponsor the Canowindra Bowling Club from 4pm. On Saturday, there are three games of football against old rivals Cargo with gates open at 11am.

There are still tickets available and it is only five weeks away, so do not leave it to the last minute to purchase your ticket. Many of the past players are attending and looking forward to catch up with old teammates.

Brian Eaken will be attending. Brian is a policeman stationed in Canowindra who previously coached the Tigers and is also a well-respected player and resident.

The Balloon Challenge is on the weekend before, so visitors can make a great holiday break combining the Challenge with the centenary celebrations. This will give you more time to catch up old friends and family. If you know of any previous players that have not heard about the weekend, please share the information. We look forward to seeing many past players reunite.

This year’s competition will start with the Tigers travelling to Condobolin on Saturday, 10 April and the first home game is against the strong Molong outfit the next weekend.
