Canowindra Public School’s Swimming Carnival age champions: Hunter Pearce and Will Swords (joint junior cham-pions), Nick Gordon (11 years boy champion), Jonty Bullock (senior boys champion), Adison Newcombe (senior girls champion), Lydia Wythes (11 years girl champion) and Ava Thornberry (junior girls champion).
Canowindra Public School is off to a fantastic start this tear with a fabulous swimming carnival. There were seven records broken on the day. Congratulations to all children who participated, we saw lots of fantastic swimming and some personal best times.
Records were broken by Will Swords (10 years boys 50m freestyle), Ava Thorn-berry (10 years girls 50m freestyle, junior girls 50m breastroke, junior girls 50m back-stroke, junior girls 50m butterfly, junior girls 200m individual medley) and Riley Dick (13 years boys 50m freestyle).

Well done to all children involved in getting dressed up in house colours. The best dressed winners were: Sam Hamilton (Belubula), Freya McCaffery and Jerry Tapim (Lachlan), Dimity Rogers, Nic Gordon and Ava Thornberry (Nangar), Reaghan Fliedner and Georgia Parker (Tilga).
A huge thank you to parents who gave up their time to volunteer, your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks to Canowindra Swimming Club for the use of their equipment, to Margie for her great hospitality and to Mr Wooldridge for the use of all your shade tents.
